Cristina Daniela Vintilla is a research fellow at Department of Politics and International Relations of the University of Leicester since June 2014. Prior to that, she enjoyed a PhD scholarship at the Spanish National Research Council for conducting her dissertation on “The European citizenship and the electoral rights of non-national EU citizens in the member states”. Vintila holds a MA degree in ‘Democracy and Government’ from the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), a BA degree in ‘International Relations and European Studies’ from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (Romania) and a BA degree in Law from Spiru Haret University (Romania). She has been visiting researcher at the European University Institute (Italy) and the University of Edinburgh (UK). Her interests lie, especially, in the areas of citizenship, immigration, political behaviour, political representation, and comparative politics.
