Andreas Wüst is an external research fellow at MZES. Wüst holds a M.A. (Heidelberg, 1996), Ph.D. (Heidelberg 2002) and a political scientist focusing on political sociology in research and teaching. He has extensively worked and published on the electoral behaviour and parliamentary representation of immigrants, but also on electoral behaviour, parliamentary candidates, parliamentarians and political parties on a broader scale. He was visiting professor at the University of Mannheim (2009-10) and at the University of Heidelberg (2010-11). Since 2011, he has been building up a unit on integration research and monitoring in the newly founded ministry for integration of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. He continues some of his research activities as external fellow of the Mannheim Center for European Social Research (MZES) with which he has been associated since 2002.
